August 17, 2026 – International gold markets continue to show an exceptionally positive development. Particularly noteworthy is the persistently strong gold buying by central banks, which is meeting a global supply that is expanding only slowly. At the same time, the development of our underground (UG) project at the Puna Leach Mine in Salta Province, Argentina, has taken a significant step forward with the opening of a high-grade secondary vein.

Tailwind from the Global Market: Record Central Bank Demand

Strong demand continues to meet a supply that is growing only modestly. The latest market data underline this environment:

  • Historic central bank purchases: In the second quarter of 2026, net purchases by central banks reached approximately 289 tonnes – an all-time high for a second quarter.
  • Constrained supply: Global mine production most recently grew by only around 2% year-on-year.

High-Grade Secondary Vein at the Underground Project

Against this backdrop, the development of the UG project gains additional significance. In addition to the already known main vein at the Puna Leach Mine, a secondary vein located only a few metres away has now been opened up. According to the geological consultant CSA Global of Australia, it carries a gold grade of 15–20 g/t Au over a width of 1.5–2 metres and extends over several hundred metres. Particularly noteworthy is the strong metallurgical recovery of more than 90% established to date.

The development of this additional mineralization expands the known potential of the project and opens up further options for the future development and commercial exploitation of the deposit.

Outlook

The combination of a continued supportive global gold market and the opening of a high-grade secondary vein at the Puna Leach Mine underscores the positive outlook for the project and its further development potential.
